What's Up in Music?

First Grade - We're singing and learning how to play orff instruments. Keeping the beat and having fun is important.

Second Grade - Always singing and learning the names of our orff instruments, glockenspiels, xylophones, and metallophones. We like playing games with our songs.

Third Grade - Recorders! We love our new recorders! We're beginning with the note B, and then adding A and G!

Fourth Grade - Dingdongdiggidiggidong! A fun song that we are learning to play on the orff instruments. We compared the solfege ladder to the notes on our instruments to find the melody ourselves.

Fifth Grade - DRUMS!!!! We are learning to play the conga and djembe drums along with shakers to layer different rhythms.

Sixth Grade - We love to dance. We are preparing for the Sock Hop Celebration on the last day of school after graduation. We will also learn an African and a Greek dance for fun.
